Programme note
Words frequently obscure the direct musical statement by prescribing paths for the listeners which they then seek to confirm intellectually, a process which leads their thoughts down still other paths, thus hindering them from experiencing the music itself. Although my pieces are transformations of real thoughts, experiences and feelings, they are only comprehensible musically. Verbal circumlocutions befog the clarity.
